As time went on, my attention drifted to antiquing. I found that I love vintage furniture, dishes, buttons, jewelry, quilts and linens.

One day about 6 years ago, I saw the most gorgeous vintage dresser. It was painted white, and the top, sides and drawer fronts were covered with broken vintage china! Suddenly, every thing seemed to click. All the art classes and the years spent drifting around antique stores and flea markets just came together in the beautiful world of mosaics.

I love repurposing old furniture, teapots, trays, birdhouses, old windows and even guest bath counter tops into beautiful and functional works of art.

I work closely with my husband of 27 years. He is my carpenter and electrician as well as loving husband and best friend (professionally he is an engineer). When I bring home a wobbly old piece of furniture, I turn it over to him. He takes it apart, repairs, glues, and makes it as good as new! He also creates all my custom designed mirrors and birdhouses to mosaic. He wires all my mosaic teapots and sugar bowl lamps (my signature pieces).

My husband Kent and I have four wonderful sons and five terrific grandchildren. We live in the Smoky Mountains in North Carolina. When we are not flea marketing, antiquing and repairing all of our finds, we are working in our gardens or redecorating our house.

My mosaic work is eclectic and incorporates many decorating styles, including Country French, Tuscan, Shabby, Cottage, Paris Apartment, Old World and Rustic Primitive. My mosaic art has found homes all over the United States from California to Long Island, New York, Texas, Florida and more. I sign each piece by adding my signature china butterfly and include a certificate of authenticity. If you like, what you see here, you will love it when it is in your home!
